So lets start with my first class this morning. Lets just say it's not my favorite, mainly because my thoughts about what is great literature is not the same as my professors! We discussed 'Machiavelli's The Prince' today, those who have read it what are your thoughts? I personally don't believe that in order to become a leader you have to take advantage of the people you lead! There are more than enough examples of this, King Benjamin, Alma, Caption Moroni, and Nephi, just to name a few!
Along happier lines, I am giving my first product review. For those of you looking for a tree stand this Christmas, stay away from the Holiday time stand from Walmart, it is green and like a dog bowl just taller and fit for a tree. First off the bolts you have to screw in are extremely difficult. The holes you screw the bolts into are not already threaded so when you first screw in the bolts you are making the threading, so you better get it right the first time or else it's going to be completely wrong the whole time! Extremely frustrating experience all around. Sadly until I am married, I will be having a fake tree, a real tree is far to difficult, mainly because of the stand. But good news for me, getting a pre-lit decent sized fake tree at the after Christmas sales! Look forward to that post because it is going to be crazy good!
So my blog will feature a theme every month, of course knowing me random things will come up but there will be an over all theme. For December the theme is going to be Christmas memories of my childhood, and most of them luckily involve my mother, Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. Christmas is always the hardest because mom loved it and made it meaningful and wonderful for the family! The reasons for that will come each day as I share a story every day!
